NOTABLE RECENT CASES

CASE# F11-3862; Burglary with Battery, Aggravated Battery on Police Officer

Synopsis: Client accused of attempting to carjack a vehicle and break an officers jaw during arrest.  Defendant was facing a LIFE prison sentence and no bond.  After acquiring bond for the defendant, the case was dismissed by the Court after motions filed and argued by Mr. Grieco.

CASE# F10-13504; Attempted Murder with a Firearm (4 Counts)
Synopsis: Client accused of firing a weapon, injuring four bystanders at a public park in Perrine (Miami), FL. Defendant retains Mr. Grieco prior to arrest. Client is surrendered to authorities without incident, as the accused’s name and photo had been plastered on all local news channels and the Miami Herald. By means of legal memoranda and production of multiple defense witnesses, Mr. Grieco arranged for his client’s release and convinced the prosecutors to withdraw all charges. Thankfully the defendant, who was nineteen (19)-years-old at the time, will maintain both a clean record and his college scolarship.

CASE# F08-12222; Trafficking in Narcotics/MDMA (Ecstasy)
Synopsis: Client arrested after traffic stop and search. Facing seven (7) year statutory minimum in prison.
Disposition: Prior to pretrial Motion to Suppress Evidence, State Attorney waives min man and defendant receives house arrest followed by probation.

CASE# F08-28253; Battery on Police Officer
Synopsis: Client allegedly kicked Surfside Police officer upon waking in the backseat of a taxicab and becoming hostile.
Disposition: Case not formally filed.

CASE# F08-06425; Burglary with a Battery (Life Felony)
Synopsis: Client allegedly battered/assaulted his ex-girlfriend after forcing himself through the front door of her home.
Disposition: Case reduced to a simple misdemeanor.
